Do women design organizations differently?
A new study suggests that they do. Sasha Galbraith compared two nearly identical firms in Seattle.
They are in the same business, have the same clients, are the same age and size, and in fact, are direct competitors. The main difference is that one company was founded by a man, and the other by a woman. Their organizations differ considerably in the areas of business processes, reward systems and people practices.
